Old Chicken Poo
« on: January 10, 2009, 23:12 »
I've been offered lots of mature chicken poo.

My raised beds need a good feed, given that it is 'mature' will it be okay with all my veg if I dig it in now or should I miss a bed or two with certain vegetables, ie, carrots?
Are we nearly there yet?

Old chicken poo is great stuff. I've put it on all my beds, including carrots and parsnips and they've been fine. Check out my parsnip pix on my personal album. I probably won't manure the carrot area again this year but last year really needed lots in every bed, so go for it!  8)
