Wild Cherries...
« on: June 23, 2009, 11:53 »
Hi all,

I am very new to this homebrewing lark, having only just started my first ever brew (Elderflower Champers). I was walking round my local park the other day and couldn't help but notice thousands and thousands of plump wild cherries! I've already cooked some up in a Cherry Clafoutis (which was yummy -http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/database/cherryclafoutis_11537.shtml) and will be making some cherry jam this weekend. Has anyone got any ideas for anything boozy I could do with them? I've already thought of doing some cherry vodka but I'm going for as cheap to make as possible! I've had a look on the interweb for some cherry wine recipes but there doesn't seem to be many?

Thanks in advance,
Helen x
