when we cut back our autumn raspberry and spread well rotted horse manure over them have done this for many years had no problems

Is it safe to dig in manure (it was about 3 months old when received) after a couple of months lying on the surface or best to just leave it.     The Site is plagued with New Zealand flat worm so not many earth worms around
Do you really need al that lettuce/

Broken-glass, it will be fine but not really necessary,I’m sure the flat worms will pull it down as well, shame about them, do the birds line them? Chickens?
