Leek and cheese pie with gently fried leeks in a cheese sauce, with a couple of eggs added to make it stay in place when cut.  It was shop bought puff pastry so easy to make, but OH was in 7th heaven anyway when he saw it

Plot french beans and sweetcorn on the side and there is a spare pie for later in the week  :D

... spare pie

I understand the words but Im having trouble with the comprehension - was OH not hungry ?  ::)

Busy day at the coal face again, so it's pasta and pesto here when I can drag myself into the kitchen.  ML wants me to do a lamb and pearl barley stew with the weekend left over lamb - wonder if I could talk her into some sort of a lamb pie though, mmmm pie  :tongue2:

And after you have made the pie (which sounds like an excellent idea!), the bone goes back into the slow cooker for stock?

Last night was salmon parcels, with potatoes and runners and cabbage - all cooked in the steamer.  Lemon mayo on the side.  It would have been healthy except we ate too many potatoes with butter...   ::)

Tonight is stuffed marrow on buttered potatoes - because I have found one in store going mouldy.   :(  More runners on the side I expect.

Fresh borlotti beans and pork in a spicy tomato and courgette sauce, served over rice.

He's always hungry, but it appears there are limits to the amount of pie even he can consume

Chicken and cabbage crockpot again by popular request (last pack of chicken thighs in freezer. ) with a wholemeal scone round I think.  Worked well last time at soaking up the juices.

Last night was penne pasta with tomatoes, courgette, onion and garlic plus some cubed gammon from the freezer.

For some reason I thought today was Friday when I was choosing from the freezer  So it's haddock with parsley sauce, peas/sweetcorn mix  and Pink Fir Apple potatoes  :)

The meeces have started to attack the sweetcorn  >:( , so a big blanching exercise is about to start.    By dinner we wont want to even think about corn ..... so chilli beef, rice and mixed stir fry are in the plan!

Lamb burgers and grilled tomato, steamed pots, calabrase (found during the great sweetcorn rescue yesterday) in cheese sauce, and maybe the odd grilled courgette too.

Green beans are fab this year aren't they. What would we do without them? Eat peas!  Yeah I know  :D

I was weeding in my home veg patch today and uncovered a lovely bunch of carrots. They had got a bit big but were lovely and sweet.  They were next to the coriander leaf so the obvious thing to do with them was make soup.  :tongue2: :tongue2: :tongue2:

Haha yes the beans have been so good hubby is complaining about how many we've had! So yesterday I found the peas had come good so tonight we've had a boiling of lovely peas 😊
