help with gherkins
« on: June 16, 2009, 20:29 »
I have a small potager (kitchen garden) in France and have been given some gherkins to try. I am already growing some very healthy looking courgettes, but my gherkins look as if they are growing up, not out. My question is: should I put stakes in to help them grow up? I can't find anything in my vegetable growing books I brought from the UK.

We grew some in a hanging basket last year as they trailed a bit, so as Mumofstig says, a teepee might be the way to go  :D
