OH got himself a new deep fryer for under 20 quid and was determined to try it out.  So, one big pile of chips, deep fried calamares and baked beans later, I'm now reaching for the indigestion tablets...back to three veg, with a little plain chicken tomorrow, yum  ???

I'm having a lazy day cooking and pottering around at home.  Veggie soup and bread for lunch, plus more stashed in the fridge for tomorrow.  Gammon steaks, roasted Kifli spuds and plot veg for tea  :D

Well it’s hubbys birthday & our wedding anniversary tomorrow, our son has bought him some very nice sirloin steaks on the bone & brought them round yesterday so we’re having them, I was going to have salad with mine but I think it’s too cold as it’s bitter & we had snow this morning so hopefully I’ll direct hubby to cook up something hot with it lol

Sounds like a lovely celebration dinner whatever you had as sides Snowdrops  :)

I'm defrosting chicken quarters for later.  I think just a nice roast will fit the bill.

I did have salad with mine as I’d thawed out a bit by then & a nice glass or 2 of Shiraz helped with the warm feeling too 😄
Tonight it’s been baked place with potatoes baked in stock for hubby with steamed carrots, peas & broccoli for both of us, hubby’s just downed 2 mince pies & custard, I might have 1 with plain yogurt in a while, 2 days of celebrations as it’s the actual day today, so not bad😄
