Yes, we are 35 miles north of Snowdrop and the weather is quite similar here. Beautifully sunny day, max temp this afternoon was 9C, down to 4C now with a frost expected overnight. Had a brief snow flurry but nothing much. Plants in polytunnel and greenhouse all fleeced up in readiness

One word for the weather: "Dry"

The rain that was forecast for Monday afternoon did not appear.

Wow .... hard frost here overnight, covered everything in heavy fleece, one or two darker leaves on the potatoes but that's all  :)

Surprising the difference any protection makes, the raised veg bed, the plants were covered with fleece, which as stated, worked well. But the whole bed is covered with netting to keep the pheasants out, the bits outside the netting were crusty and had frost on them, the area covered by netting was frost free, the fleece covered area even better.

Surprising to see that just netting affords a little protection as well  ;)

Although it looks lovely out there, the wind is a biting cold Northwesterly and it's only risen to 5C, so far

1.8C was the overnight low.

-0.8C here last night - was woken up this morning by the unusual sound of the early leavers scraping the remains of yesterday's light snow shower off their cars.

Only the 3rd time this winter we've had an air frost here.

Clear blue skies and +4C at the moment, but the rain radar map is currently showing quite a collection of shower clouds heading straight down the country. Hopefully at least one of them has got Sheffield's name on it!

Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

Cor JayG that's flipping cold.  Yuck.

I know it fell as low as 30C in parts down souf and that was cold for us at this time of year. It was a little warmer along the costal strip but still chilly overnight... down to 5 I think.

Snow! Scraping scrapers? Just about unheard of here in late April (partly because I am no longer a "leaver" and also because it takes more than a little scraping to wake me once I eventually sleep).

Here we continue with the Sahara effect (dry) and complete with the over-night version (blinking cold but not flipping freezing).  ::)

Down to 2.5C last night, but today, unlike the last few days, it hasn't warmed up much since.
It is still only 4C and we still have that cold NW wind  :(

The tomatoes will have to wait before they can go out in the greenhouse

We had a mad shower of snow, turning to slush and sleet yesterday afternoon.  Then it just rained on and off until late evening.

Chilly overnight but no signs of frost.  It is cold and breezy today.

Some people have all the excitement:

Here - very chilly, cold wind and about 20 medium sized spots of rain. Better than none  he says looking on the bright side  :)
