So thought I had got away with this over the previous couple of nights but alas not went to plot last night and potatoes scorched by frost not too bad, but other things gone, my question is will they regenerate, one of the things that suffered is a Kiwi Tree its about 3 years old but the greenery took a bit of a bashing. Anyone know or do I just need to start from scratch with seedlings? what about spuds ?????

I had the same happen to my furless kiwi's, I would love to know if it make a recovery as it was looking very good for getting some fruit this year.

Half our Annabelle spuds were touched, but they were very little leaves, so they'll just have to regroup!
They'll all feel better soon, so don't worry, they'll all get back eventually - maybe not totally so expect a spud or two less...;0)

The site should ideally be free of late frosts although this isn’t of course always practical. But special attention should be given to them in the Spring when they leaf up as although the vines are quite hardy during the winter when dormant, they are highly susceptible to damage by late frosts when they are coming into leaf and this sets them back for the whole season. If the nights get cold at this time then be prepared to protect them with horticultural fleece especially if they are being grown in an open position rather than against a wall.

I'd cover it with some fleece over the next few weeks so it won't get frosted again. Then it is a question of wait and see I'm afraid. Seems to me a bit like fuchsias, you have to wait to see where along the branches it regrows from, before you can cut any dead bits off. As long as the roots didn't freeze solid - it should regrow.

My spuds in bags were hit too. I have fleece ready just need to get some clothes pegs to hold it on.
