Hi All can you tell me when the chicks will be on there own? not yet I'm sure, plus i have just put some frontline on the chooks the pipes are for small dog i hope the is ok, I only put a couple of drops on them, them being the chicken not chicks

From my experience Mummy chook will decide when the time is right, she will suddenly start to  leave them even chasing them away and pecking at them. It looks vicious but its natures way I suppose.
I use the sprayable frontline prescribed from my vet for my girls.

I notice from your lovely pics they are out with the other chickens as well.
I've kept mine seperate, is it ok to let them all loose together now during the daytime only (chicks are 9 days old)?
My other chickens are desperate to be free ranging once again
