Onion Sets - Stuttgart
« on: November 09, 2007, 17:54 »
I wonder if somebody could assist me.

New to forum and in second year of Allotment Vegetable Gardening.

I've ordered and received my seeds and onions for next year.

I grew Stuttgart from sets last year (very successful) and Walla Walla from seed (less than successful).

I've just received the stuttgart sets but have forgotten when I planted them this year, I think it was Feb.

Can I leave the sets in the garage until then or will I have to plant them earlier?

Appreciate help on this and as its such a basic question I'm sure you'll understand I'm fairly new to this.

Thanks

I'd have thought he would have been more likely to to have a build up of problems growing in the bed all the time.Would have thought trace elements must get depleted.
More of a worry to me is that many of us are gifted, swop or buy in cabbage, caulies wallflowers ect with out thinking that we may be introducing clubroot     Bob

I just meant to say, that they do, some crops don't nec need rotating. Some people advocate the same about toms and beans are grown in the same site by many.
