Enjoy trying different varieties this year and make a note of which ones you liked best.  We are trying several varieties this year in the hope of finding something that works in our soil well and we like the taste of.  We have grown Kestrel a few times and its great but I want to try salad and earlies too.

Hi Sammie
You have had loads of advice re varieties, each grower has favourites. It may be too late for this year but google " Potato day" and see where you can visit next year. I attend the Hampshire event in Whitchurch at the end of January which has a massive range of spuds plus lectures on which variety to grow. There are other events across the country hopefully one will be near you

Good luck with your allotment
