Wrelton is a lovely little village especially since it was bypassed in the 80s (I think). Sorry it didn't work out for you. Maybe next time  :)

We don't live in Wrelton village but we are not too far away from there.

On your recommendation we might have to give Walkers a try.

I used 2"x9" to raise my greenhouse and made beds inside the same height leaving a walkway down the middle. I lined these with damp proof membrane before filling with manure. This gave great extra height for toms and cucs and at the end of the year I just emptied the beds and refilled them.

Thanks for the link.

I'm glad that works for you. We were lucky enough to buy a GH with high eaves which is nice. Because it is situated on fairly wet ground the general consensus was to go for concrete.

I used the big slabs 600mm x 900 concrete slabs and laid them with wet mortar (6:1)

Just a little out to solid ish ground.

They havent moved a bit in 7 years, but now i am going to put a course of blocks on the slabs to raise the greenhouse.

There really is not alot of weight in the house and the only slabs you will walk on are down the centre.
