Strawberry Pot
« on: July 08, 2007, 17:58 »
Received a present of a small ceramic strawberry pot and would like to plant it up but not sure if the strawberries have to be a specific variety. I have strawberry plants growing in the garden in the traditional way and was wondering if I could just use some off shoots of these.
Any advise greatfully appreciated

Yep just use the runners of your original plants, make sure they are rooted first though, best way is to pin them into a small pot of compost with a bit of wire, wait until they are rooted, about 2-3 weeks in this weather. Then cut from the mother plant.
