Bamboo question

I have some branches in water that have roots (purloined from unsuspecting friend)

What should I do with them? I want to plant a natural windbreak. Hers is not too invasive but it does grow to about 10-12 feet tall, so ideal for my back passage.

i would incinerate the bamboo completely - sorry not a helpful answer, but my neighbours has spread like wildfire, upset the patio and even danmaged the shed and decking

Sorry to hear that Boothy and I do understand how you must feel. I have to contend with constantly hacking back a ten foot high, 25 foot long evergreen hedge along the border with next door. It sucks all the moisture from my veg plot and I can't afford the fee to go to the council.

If I poisoned it gradually with weedkiller I wonder if anyone would ever know? Ok, I'll dream on. :cry:

I'd plant them in pots for now Ice with multi purp, till those roots have time to toughen up. Keep them well watered.
Plant them in the early autumn incorporating loads of manure as bamboo are hungry feeders, I love grasses and bamboo I've got one that's supposed to get to 8' but it's a 2'6" dwarf :roll:
