Debris netting
« on: October 13, 2010, 15:41 »
Hi all,

I've been reading your posts and stealing your knowledge for the past year. Thought it about time I joined in.

Having read various posts about enviromesh versus debris netting I did some looking around at costs. Found that enviromesh was about 2 to 3 times as expensive as deb net.

So I've bought 50 metre roll @ 3 metres wide for about 80p / metre. I'll cut off what I want and sell the rest to anyone on the allotment that wants some. If I'd bought the amount I need, about 15 metres, it would have been about 150p / metre.

So hopefully my brassicas wont look like lace doilies next year and I've saved myself some money!!

Lets hope that the weather is less challenging next year:)

Have added pic. Coin is 5p for scale.

I'm not selling this online.

To be fair, Joy, he did say this!

I'll cut off what I want and sell the rest to anyone on the allotment that wants some.

Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I bought the same stuff and have swapped the spare for odd jobs I can't manage. Only prob with debris netting is the rows of edging holes which are big enough for a flutterby to get through with wings folded. (I know from experience!)
Spent a couple of evenings back in the Spring sewing them up with nylon wool.......(Sad....but definitely worked!))
