It is lovely Elcie.

Ian was very impressed by the hanging flowers on the outside - it's given him ideas  :tongue2:

Emergency "Fowl" weather alterations.

Four days of heavy rain and showers here turned the chicken run into a muddy, grass free pit. Last night I grabbed some old bits of pallet and trellis and a couple of the bags of woodchip that I was saving for the fruit cage and voila:

Today I went and retrieved my smallest pallet from the allotment to lift the water bowl and food container out of woodchip range after they got completely filled today.

I'm now going to add a partial roof over the woodchip bit.

My OH tells me you need a DVR (digital video recorder) with at least one CCTV camera connected to it. It needs to be wired into your network so that its connected to your broadband router. you will have to muck about with  various settings such as Dynamic I.P address and port forwarding.
There is lots of information available on various forums regarding ~CCTV.

The app on the Iphone is called MEye and is free to install and it also is available for android phones.

I Cant wait for Chicken cam to be up and running !!!

Eurghhh! I can't post pictures from my iPad for some reason!
Looking at all these photos is giving us some fab ideas for improvements we can make to ours!  We converted a summerhouse for our bunch, and it has a run we aren't too impressed with but will do us the winter. You've all inspired us though to make it a des-res!  Mind you, they're out more than in
Thanks all
My chickens probably make more sense than I do so forgive me ;-)

Glad you're enjoying the website alaj.  I have found it really inspiring over the past year and feel I have learnt loads.  With loads more always to learn!

You probably need to resize your photos, I use PIXresizer which is a free download online.  Good luck and welcome to the website.
