I think you can achieve the same effect by placing a 1 litre bottle full of water in your cistern. It just reduces the volume of water available for flushing.

I recently replaced our old toilet with a new dual flush so I'm hoping for a marked reduction in usage. But then again, dd has moved back in  :roll:

A plastic bottle will work just as well, as Rob says.

I read somewhere recently that the 'average' household flushes their toilet 16 times a day  :shock:  :shock:  :shock:

They obviously haven't been to our house, where we operate an "if it's yellow let it mellow, if it's brown send it down!" policy - I think we only flush 2 or 3 times a day at most!

Northumbrian Water have the same deal on with the save a flush devices.
Who needs a guard-dog when you can have cats for guards!

As an employee at Northumbrian Water... I can tell you that most suppliers of water will send you the 'savaflush' packets, i.e Yorkshire, Thames. Essex & Suffolk, Scottish & Welsh Water etc..
