What is the best autumn planting garlic to buy?

I bought Laurent White from T & M last year and they sent me 2 bulbs that had about 15 very large Cloves in each bulb.

I planted them as per Johns Garlic Video on this site around October in 4 inch Pots and kept them in the G/House over winter and planted them out  on  the plot in early Feb.

They are now growing extremely well and I am very pleased so far. The initial price of £3.99 was more than I would wish to pay but I intend to save the biggest bulbs from my harvest to re plant for next year. So I thought pay dear once and have great crops year after year.

Last year I grew a hard neck variety from the Really Garlicky company called "Music". Fantastic crop, only 5 or 6 cloves on each bulb, but a really humungeous size, so very little pratting about peeling them.

I did these the year before and again had a good crop

I too have set cloves saved from the previouse year's crop!

I've bought three bulbs of ebay for Autumn planting. My question is what is the best way of storing them until then

we normally plant our bulbs around November and leave them through the winter to grow. from our experience just make sure the bulbs have not chitted, they never seem to grow as well as the unchitted ones. ours were bought from the shops which were a mixed success with small and medium sized cloves but having read a few threads here i intend to buy from the bulbs from a seed distributor to see the difference.
