I'm getting going with the early sowings now - nothing too ambitious, just hardy stuff and things that need a good long growing season like peppers.
Its got me anticipating crops to come though. Fresh peas straight from the pod, the first new potatoes and biting into a sun ripened tomato :D
Can't wait :D

Yes, I have sown aubergine, pepper and chilli seeds now, and the leeks and onions are growing away.
My mouth would love the have some new potatoes, crisp French beans and some succulent radishes.... mmm the thought!!

Not wishing my life away but can't wait until the asparagus pops up.

I agree the first new Potatoes and tomatoes. For fruit it's got to be the Strawberry.

Peas, raspberries and sweet corn. I give them more time and space than I should. Funnily enough, all three can be eaten immediately on the plot. :)
ETA May, June and August respectively.

Mmmmmmmm - with you there. There are a few of us that grow it and the first picture of a spear emerging usually induces widespread asparagus envy among the rest :lol:

Only thought of digging new potatoes today, for the first time this year...
Then turned round to see them still chitting in a seed tray behind me..:0]

new potatos, loads of baby spinach into curries, peas

Big bowls of freshly picked leaves, warm tomatoes, warm long days ..... Oh Bother! I just woke up!! :(
