Hi

Any help will be much appreciated  :) I am looking for a plant that will hang over the side of my pond to cover the black liner and does not mind getting wet if it grows into the water. Hope that makes sense.

Thankyou for your time and effort, its much appreciated  :)

Irises are good near water, I particularly like the yellow flag iris. Something like creeping jenny would be a good ground cover candidate and would tolerate the conditions. :)

Those are both yellow flowered, perhaps someone else will think of another colour. ::)

You need marginal plants to cover the edges from the inside out, or low-growing edging plants that will spread over the liner from the outside in. Acorus is a marginal plant that will help, as will any other where you can place their basket on the shallow edge. Edging plants depends on the site, space, soil situation and taste. As said, Creeping Jenny - as long as it creeps towards the pond, Nepetia (catmint), Dierama (Angels' Fishing Rods), Ligularia, ferns, hostas, Rodgersia and, one of my favourite plants - heucheras.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

you can put turf around the edge, smooth stones or pebbles. This holds the liner in place and prevents damage to it from sunlight.
