Fantastic weather for corn, the silks have appeared in an instant so the badger defence has gone up, fingers crossed. No wind whatsoever today so a little friendly tickle and clouds of pollen dropped to where they're supposed to. Don't often have that luxury.

My tassles are just forming on the first plants.  Yesterdays (all to) brief downpour did the garden some good.

This year I really do have opening top tassles, but no sign of any silks for the pollen to land on *sad face*

Mine were like that last year, but all of a sudden the 'silks' appeared and all was well.  Hopefully it will be the same for you.  I didn't think I was going to get a crop, but I ended up with loads.

Mine are all pollinating well, even with the little breeze we have had, but do give them a little brush every evening when watering and watch them pollinate.
Have quite a few silks starting on the 6-8 feet plants.
Id say they are about two weeks earlier than normal at this stage.
