Title: Comfrey question
Post by: Redgoat on June 16, 2017, 22:20
I'm about to put in some Comfrey which I have grown for a bit in pots from offcuts.
The allotment is a magnet for birds so wondering if the pigeons would go for the comfrey in the early stages ?

The only animals I know to like comfrey are bumble bees, who can't seem to get enough of the nectar from the flowers! I always wait till the first flush are done before cutting back to make my comfrey tea.

Comfrey is completely indestructible. Make sure it's planted in its permanent position. Once it gets going there's no shifting it!

Like Mr Dog says the only animals on my Comfrey are the Bees which are it. Like Mr Dog I let the flowers set and the Bees have their fill before i take my 1st crop.
