Hello everyone,
im sooo happy i have spent the first day on our new allotment clearing nettles. it will be a few weeks till its ready to plant as the nettles are 4 ft high but enjoying every bit of it.
met an allotment neighbour who kindly gave me some carrots, courgettes and a parsnip. thats sunday lunch sorted!!

Congratulations - it must be a good feeling being able to get stuck in to your plot after such a long wait - if you have lots of nettles to dig out this generally means your soil will be perfect for growing veg, so I'm sure you will be rewarded handsomely!
