I have bought a couple of these erysimums in the past and they have always died!
So last year I bought another and planted it in my cutting garden - I wasn't well, thats my excuse!
So this one has survived, and grown to about 3 foot across and high, and is now in danger of growing over other plants  .
RHS website says prune lightly after flowering. Well it still has flowers now despite the snow and frosts, so can I prune it now, and will it survive a decent haircut or do I need to be more cautious.
Any advice much appreciated, thank you.

Mine hasn't even opened its first flowers yet 
I'd wait a couple more weeks before giving it a hair cut, as there is another cold snap forecast for Easter, just in case. I usually cut the stems by half, and later, cut to the ground any stems that dieback completely.

I am surprised at the flowers, they have been there on and off all winter and its not a particularly sheltered place either. I will do as you recommend and give it a trim when the weather improves again.
