We moved house during autumn, and 25min cycling to my allotment plots. the current house has very small garden and laid with lawn. it is next to another allotment site here, still I resisted not to have any more due to many other stuff. so I stoped passing through the site(free access). when I visitied initially, I liked one plot which is on the edge of my opposite house.
after 5 months of resistance, I felt to have something really for my leafy greens and early crops. so OH suggested to let us show interest for one in next 6 months but not immediately. and we are not ready to for overgrown ones to have some resistance. so in mid feb I went to see the site representative and inform them to put me on waiting list before I say any such he did ask me if I want to look at one . ummmm.. thought let see and say No. to my surprise he offered the same plot I wanted very badly. which is really very much cleared and ready to start playing. It was mine immediatle and I took the pics as it was then . there is no water. soil is black and not at all heavy clay. The main reason I went for this site was the cost of half plot is just £3 a year. nothing to loose if we fail to manage. it has 3 rows of Dahlias well established, 2 rows of Asparagus and summer raspberroes all want handy
