Yacon tubers to swap
« on: February 11, 2017, 13:25 »
I've just joined the circle although I've been reading John's news letter for a long time. I have a large number of Yacon tubers which I'd be happy to share. I paid £10 for 3 tubers from real seeds 2 years ago & each tuber yielded a dozen propagating tubers as well as a crop of 2-3kg edible tubers per plant. I still haven't harvested all of this year’s crop but already have several dozen tubers. I love to try different vegetables so would be happy to have a swap but would be equally happy to give them away. They require virtually no work, produce tubers the size of sweet potatoes (but with the texture of a water chestnut) & don't succumb to blight.

I relieve you of a few, if you still have them.

Anything you are after?

Aileen made this offer back in February, gobs, so the tubers will have grown considerably by now and may be largish plants, difficult to post out
