Post by: RJR_38 on February 17, 2017, 18:23
I'm tempted as I have read about these and they sounded really interesting

Anyone got any experience of growing or eating?

Oh really? The description sounds tasty - a cross between almonds and coconuts...

I have read that it is possible to germinate/sprout them from dried ones and grow these on which is obviously a lot cheaper than buying plug plants like this

The ones i tried were dried , worth a try to see if they sprout. Have not tried fresh tiger nuts so they may well be tasty ! :)

Going to (hopefully)  try some fresh chick peas this year !

I used to love Tiger Nuts. Natural sweetness, not unlike half dried out chestnuts only slightly less chewy
