in home baking are... Allow To Cool Completely.

I made a chocolate cake from the Little Red Barn recipe book today with the intention of halving it and smothering it with home-made Damson jam. The whole flat smells wonderful and cakey (is that a word?)... and I have to allow it to cool completely.

The smell is driving me bonkers!

Shame you are the other end of the country, I could do with a slice of chocolate cake  :D

Heh - I suppose your forum sig doesn't say you must have the cake NOW after all.

I do have a nice lunch planned but it is hard to enjoy a "healthy" lunch when the whole place smells of fresh cake.
