:)I have some flowers on my first early-Rocket-and assume this means they have grown now enough to consume?-but I understand not all potatoes flower?
I had a look on a potato website but flower pics seem a bit thin on the ground ::)-but here is one of a Rocket spud
btw, the wee thing is only about 18mm dia. ;),hopefully the spuds will be bigger :tongue2:

Have a furtle round below a plantand see if they are big enough for you....if not cover over again and wait a while longer  :)
Lucky you ;)

You only have to wait for them to die off for main crops

You should water once the flowers appear to make them bulk up.

I don't touch mine until after the flowers have died off and the foliage starts to follow. I want the biggest spuds I can get but if you're after small ones, wait until after the flowers finish and furtle.

mine are not quite in flower yet but i decided to have a firtle of the ones on my patio anyway and i could feel some small spuds developing nicely, i think out of my first earlies the homeguard are in front then charlotte and then swift mind you the swift were planted a couple of weeks later so catching up nicely , and its raining today so this should help them along nicely  :)dont look as if i will get to the plot much today though :(
when im with my 9yr old she's the sensible one
