Title: What does it cost for some one to cut the grass
Post by: LILLILEAF on February 13, 2018, 18:59
I am trying to think ahead but if I won't be aloud to cut my grass after my operation,i will have to get some one in,the person would use our mower if they want to and I have a compost heap for the clippings to go on,so there would be no going to the tip,any idea's.Lillileaf

A friend of mine is unable to cut his own lawns. He pays a man £20 to come and do them for him using the man's own lawn mower.
I also know of a local jobbing gardener who charges £10 an hour. Hope this helps

It will depend on how big your lawn is, so I'd say £10-£15 per hour should be a fair price.

Are there any teenagers in the family of of friends who would be interested in some extra pocket money maybe?

The neighbours are 1/2 a mile away, they are farmers,i don't know them very well, but I am sure they have enough to do in the summer cutting the hay and silage.
We don't have any teenagers in the family and we don't have any family.Lillileaf
