no eggs yet
« on: March 10, 2017, 15:47 »
I have a beautiful Araucana Bantam that we purchased at the end of last August and was sold as POL.  We also bought 2 equally beautiful Barnevelder Bantams at POL.  We have been having a steady supply of eggs from the Barnevelders since then, (none over the winter) but have now started laying again, but we are still awaiting the first egg from Peggy our Araucana.  They all get on really well and all eat well.  Can you perhaps put some light on this please?  Thanks Teresa

Pol is confusing terminology it does not mean literally point of lay! If she has everything she needs she should lay but as with all things chicken - in her own time. The advantage iof later laying is that she should go on later. Good luck
