2'x10' - not a sausage in it, filled with 4" of fresh compost and I've got nothing to put in :ohmy: :nowink:
Bit late to start anything but salads from seed and they're not going to like the heat at the moment, any suggestions? I'm awash with tomatoes and peppers so rooting suckers isn't worth it and it's a little shallow for carrots.

Thosw small golfball carrots could work, Lards.
Spring onions as well, as they'll hang in for ages...

Dwarf French beans? few courgettes?

Brassicas, beetroot, chard, Florence fennel, parsley, swedes, leeks.

I'd agree with Growster on the round carrots (I grew Paris Market last year, and am this, and they grew to give pretty decent sized roots) and spring onions. I'd also pop some lettuce in - I usually have a few growing all summer in my greenhouses - and mums idea of dwarf beans (fine ones?) sounds good too.

Spring onions - 6 sowings so far not 1 germination (newly purchased seeds went in yesterday for sowings 7 & 8)
DFB - There's a row of climbing french beans outside already.
Courgettes - 2 plants already in the beds outside, I can only eat so many :lol:
Brassicas - isn't it going to be too warm in there?
Leeks - bit late to sow. I didn't bother earlier in the year as the allium leaf miner normally takes the lot.
I also put some coriander seed in yesterday; old seed but you you never know.
Off to check the seed box for beetroot, chard and parsley seeds.
Im tempted to try germinating some salads (fresh seed) in the house where it's cooler as there's a shameful lack of green and leafy on my plate of late. :nowink:

Yes - Sorry snow I should have been more specific. There's no border space outside, I've stuff apple trees in them all :ohmy: :D
I found chard and beetroot seeds, they went in last night. No parsley though which is odd as I must have bought bucket loads over the years.

Ahh in that case what about some sweetcorn? Maybe turnips later on?
