Thank you for the votes and the congratulations - I'm not even sure it was a true anything though it was strangely pretty and certainly different!
 
Unfortunately I can't tell you what it tasted like as it was one of the Hallowe'en pumpkins I gave to my son & daughter-in-law and I am really pleased to be able to finally tell them it was a winner.   I am going for variety in the pumpkins and squash this year though I will try to get a couple of big ones for the kids.
