anyone got any ideas how stop the foxes from ripping up all my plants covered them over with netting the foxes thought this was amusing and rip it to pieces any suggestions  :cry:  :roll:

Hi worzel welcome to the site, foxes can be hard to deal with have you tried wire netting ?
Hang on for some more ideas.

I think you need to pee alot all round your plot... the scent will put them off, Also collecting hair from a hairdressers and hang it in old tights around your plot and that can help I think.. I am sure I remember Hugh Fernley whittingstall doing this to protcet his chickens.



Oh and hi and welcome. Foxes are pesky, we have a problem in the garden but not so much as I know of down the lottie, Even in the garden they leave my veg alone, but play with and chew up the kids toys though!! grrrrrrrrrrrr. (I have made DH pee round the garden but he was reluctant!)

lead, travelling very fast works for me. Foxes don't like it much though.. It was great when our foxhound was with us, again though, the foxes didn't think so....

Hi Worzel.
I watered around my plot with some(2 or 3 capfulls) jeyes fluid in a 10 litre watering can.
Also put some pepper down.
The smell puts them off.
Extremely helpful bloke who's had an allotment for years gave me the advice and it worked!

i think i will stay with patricks idea with the jays fluid

use neat jeyes in a sprayer around the bushes etc where they come into the garden

Do you think this would work for rabbits too ? and the badger that keeps digging up the lawn?
