Seed Potato's. How much are you paying.

Bought 2kg bags of Desiree at £2.75
Cara and Kestrel five seeds at £1.00
Charlotte ten seeds at £1.99

Since buying these have seen T and M 2kg bags for £3.99

How do these prices compare?
we also rescue rabbits and guinea pigs, grow own veg

Pentland Javelin - 2kg £3.99 - 37 spuds. (local GC)
Annabelle - 2kg - £6.49 about 25 to 30 spuds (being posted - making up numbers to get Grow-Sacks).

I have bought sarpo mira 30 seed spuds for £5.99,i paid £2.99 last year for my spuds and they were hit by blight although they were ment to be blight resistant?.

£2.25 kg, just bought what I needed, generally 10 seed of each of 9 or 10 varieties total cost something like £11.50

Out here we work in old money ....

7lbs Kestral for £4.99 and 7lbs Charlotte for £3.99  Havent counted how many spuds in each bag yet.  A job for later today, when it warms up a bit in the shed!

I bought mine locally from a nursery that sells loose seed potatoes by weight.  This means I can get exactly the number of tubers I want, and can have just a couple of each of new varieties to try.  I don't know how much they weight, but I've just bought 65 tubers of various spuds for £6.28.
They always carry a reasonable stock of about 30 different varieties, so I can usually get what I need.
