Title: cabbage seedlings
Post by: jambop on March 13, 2018, 18:34
Hi I had some cabbage seedlings growing in my polytunnel and although I covered them up the got a bad dose of frost . I found that the compost was frozen! however they seem to still be growing... should I sow some new ones or will they be OK?

Cabbage should be fine,  Caulies and broccoli can bolt after that, but cabbages just shrug it off and carry on  :)

Thanks newshoot I will let them grow a bit then thin them into pots. I must say they do look fine.

I noticed Lidl have cabbage plants for sale today. £1.79 for six plants about 4" high each. Seemed early, and a bit pricey for that particular retailer.
