I've not seen Thelma's before they look great

Also not seen those NZ blues they look alien

Here's my butternuts, a much better haul than last year. These have come from 3 plants 2 different varieties but I can't remember which plant was which!!

still got some more little orange and green squashes on the plot but they don't look so appetising/pinchable

Somebody made a comment to me recently about harvesting their Squashes before they get damaged by ground frost. I have some Pumpkins I am trying to leave until the third week in October to see if they increase in size - am I taking a risk leaving them? I wondered if just covering them if frost is forecast would protect them enough. Any advice?
My favourite weed is a raspberry ;)

Me personally I would not risk it, I did it 2 years ago and was gutted, the frost ruined all that were left out which was about half a dozen.

As we are waffling I thought I'd share this one with you. They are Whangaparoa Crowns from New Zealand.

My friend returned to NZ after her husband died last year, and left me with her old seeds. Only one germinated and these all came from that one plant.

She is now about to buy a house in... wait for it.... Whangaparoa District  :D :D

Must be meant to happen  :D :D

They look very much like the Crown Prince Squash that I grew last season
99% Organic and 1% Slug Pellets.
