Hi all,
My pekin has suddenly started to limp. Not too bad but it's noticable, i've checked her foot and there's no wounds, or anything that i can see that is hurting her. However there is a pekin cockerel in with her, i was wondering whether he could have jumped on her and she'd sprained it or something? Does anyone know if i can help her in anyway? Thanks

Have you washed her foot to see if she has any ice or mud balls?
As there is no cut is there any sign of bumble-foot or even scaley leg mite?
Can she grip with her toes or at least bend them on her own?
Does her leg feel warmer than her other?
If after checking all that and everything feels normal then yes the mating season has started (I know cockerels will mate all year round but they do seem to be getting more vigorous now) so keep him away from her until she is able to run away from him a bit better otherwise he will pounce on her at every opportunity

Nope all seems fine, i found one bit of scaly leg on her only one scale but i will treat that right away, thanks for your help.
