My dear son has taken the challenge from the local Hort and Prod to enter the junior pumpkin growing competition. He's got 2 Atlantic Giants on the go. They are both growing at an enormous rate and I am already losing sleep over quite how we are going to get one of them into the back of my car and down to the local village hall - without my dear husband who has a prior engagement that morning (funny, that....)

Also, which is the best way to work out which one is the biggest? Do I take the bathroom scales down with me?

If there's two of you - no problem.

Get a ground sheet, roll it onto it, then grab a corner each & lift!

A tape measure will tell you which is biggest.

Load it the evening before and use dear husband.
