Nikki makes a good point - I've not been around on these forums as long as some (and not personally experienced any type of allium rot so far) but just because I can't remember anything other than allium white rot being mentioned doesn't mean there aren't other types of rot which are hopefully less damaging and persistent. 

I suppose it depends on with how much certainty you can make the identification - for most growers I'd imagine there's an awful lot at stake here.
