Title: Geoff Hamilton DIY plastic cloche
Post by: Maryann on June 18, 2008, 14:52
I was watching a great programme last night all about the wonderful and much missed Geoff Hamilton. His family gave interviews and told stories about him - I do hope it is repeated.

Anyway, it showed Geoff over the years making all sorts of things for the garden and I was particularly interested in the cloche for the raised bed he made. It had 4 pieces of dowel and a wooded frame with some PVC piping covered in plastic sheeting.

Does anyone know where I could find details of this design please as it is just what I need.

I have made a makeshift one by adapting childrens hula hoops but it wont last very long in our windswept garden I fear.

Me too, and I loved listening to his family and their memories of him, really lovely. His son is the image of him and also Geoff's brother, couldn't mistake who he was at all.

Nice to be remembered in this way tho.
