Which Hen House ?
My hens live in a 6ft by 4ft ordinary garden shed.  they have a couple of homemade broody boxes and perches and are quite happy. Cleaning is easy as I dont need to stoop to get in. I have removed the window and covered it with two layers of chicken wire and put it up against the hedge so they get air but the rain and wind cant get in.  It may not be the "correct" way to house them but they seem happy.

just to let you know that we have the first one you thinking of getting.we got it off ebay from albany pets and it cost 75 plus 25 potage to n.i.its very good and we are pleased with it.we have it inside a larger fenced in area.the chickens go to bed so late at min that we shut them in side the smaller run and leave the actual coop door open enough to let them in and out themselves.the rest of the day we just open the run door and they have the run of the bigger fenced in area.we started with 3 and have ended up with 5 chickens, two rhodies and three bantys.now we also have 7chicks in another hutch until the bit bigger then we have some friends who going to take them.

Finally decided !!  :D  After so many options I'm going to press the button today and go for this

http://www.elbecgardenbuildings.co.uk/product.php?xProd=1788&jssCart=d8aa35026881b9bd7a88e29ec3c71dab

Going for the larger option which is about £40 cheaper than some i've seen and I've managed to persuade SWMBO to go for 4 hens !! Yipppeee

Cant wait now but I guess I have to, as I said earlier, holiday comes first, it wouldnt be fair to buy the chooks and then dissapear for 10 days would it !!

no not yet! dh is clearing a large area at the bottom of our garden, chopping branches, clearing brambles etc, he has started building our hen house and has materials for the run, but now hes had to start on something else. typical!! but we had the chance of borrowing a pneumatic drill and generator for free so hes been igging up all the old greenhouse bases and filling the skip with hardcore! (we moved here 10 months ago, the house was on the verge of falling down and there were 15 greenhouses in the front and back gardens, of various sizes!), so the chicken area again has been started and left for another week, gggrrr!
hopefully timescale for completion and chooks will be mid july!
