Can you use partially rotted (6months) horse manure as a mulch? I put some around my beans (not touching the plants) & wondering if I've done the right thing now.. I've not got anything else to use and I've just taken over a huge plot of weeds so don't want to leave the soil bare between the plants

Not advised. Chances are you will get way with it if the plants are robust enough.

Darn it, am packing for holidays so i can't even remove it now, oh well I might sow some before I go!

If you can get hold of some spent hops from a micro brewery, they make great mulch for beans.. and the slugs dont like them.
